This year we went and cut down our own Christmas tree. It was so fun. We went to a cute little place right outside of town.We trekked all through the place in search of the perfect tree. Of course it was Tab's decision (with a little guidance) which on was perfect.Benton was really happy about standing next to Tab for a picture until he decided to touch the tree. Then he was mad that Tab wouldn't let him escape.Benton decided this was the perfect tree for him; it was just his size. Finally, we settled on OUR tree and started cutting. Tab, of course, insisted on helping. Poor gimpy handed Jason cut down the tree for us. I offered to do it, but I think it made him feel less manly.Obligatory posing by the tree. After hauling it back down, they shook all of the dead and loose pine needles out of the tree with this cool contraption they rigged up. It was pretty neat. It was hooked up to a tractor that shook the tree back and forth. Then they wrapped it up and threw it in the back of our truck for us.
Afterwords Jason didn't think that the boys had gotten out enough energy so he chased them around a bit more.

so cool. we're off right now to go search for the perfect fake tree.
Fun! I love real trees. We always went up in the mountains and cut one down with Zane’s family. We decided to go with a fake on this year to cut down on allergens.
