Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day was pretty chill as usual around these parts.  Paisley got invited to a party with several other too young for school kids.  She enjoyed that but what she enjoyed the most was having her hair in hearts.  She now regularly asks for her hearts.  I'm glad that she likes having her hair done because i enjoy doing it.
Jason worked as usual, so I fed the kids something simple and put them to bed.  And then I made us a yummy dinner to enjoy all by ourselves when he finally got home.
Though Hobbes wanted to wake up.  He didn't want us to truly be able to enjoy alone time.
And of course we topped off the evening with one of Jason's most frequently requested desserts, Taffy Apple Pizza.  The recipe can be found here.

A bit of Randomness once again.

Too often, I have a lot of random pictures that I love and want to share and this post is about them.

We're kinda working on this... Kinda like I'm working on it and he enjoys wearing underwear from time to time. I'll be honest I'm not really working to hard. Just hard enough to try to pique his interest so that he will want to potty train. I would really like to be done changing his diapers and mostly I would really like to stop buying them. I mean come on, I could be spending that money on craft supplies or something...really child. I digress.
Gosh, I love her smile.
Oh and these are what I made for Tab for his Valentines this year. They are little felt fortune cookies. There is a little slip of paper inside that says, "Happy Valentine's Day - (Heart) Tab. Then I glued the fortune cookies on top of boxes of nerds.

Happy Valentine's Day!

This year with Tab in preschool I decided that I should make some cute valentines for his classmates. I don't know what I was thinking. I should have just bought some silly cards. Alas. I made about 35 of these little roses. The are made out of those foam sheets. I cut out the hearts and leaves and then hot glued it all together. I hope someone can appreciate them. The boys helped me make this candy bouquet for Jason. Or more like, they got in the way.I was pretty happy with how it turned out.Since the summer Jason has been periodically asking me to make him one of these. It is a name tag type thing for his stethoscope. Tab helped me with the beads. It isn't quite as nice as I would like it to be, but we made do with the tools and such that we had.
And this is what I have sitting on my counter that I have been waiting until valentine's day to use. I'm very excited. It is a set of 3 new mixing bowls, all with lids! Ahhh.. the simple things. And did I mention how much I love the color? They match my Cuisinart. Yes, I'm a nerd. Don't tell ok.
