Easter....yikes

Our Easter Celebrations began with a little egg hunt at Benton's preschool.  Benny and Paisley both enjoyed the hunt.  The big prize was the egg with a quarter in it.
Why do these two never want to look at the camera?
Benny's preschool class as well as another class along with all of their siblings.
Next up was the Primary Egg Hunt.  We also had a few games.  Benton and Paisley tried the spoon race.
They were big cheaters holding their egg on the spoon, but so did pretty much everyone else also.
Next up was a sack race. Tab is in the florescent yellow jacket.
Paisley, slowly but surely made it across the field.
 Finally the hunt, itself.
The Easter Bunny hung some eggs in the trees and Tab was jumping to try to reach one.
Grandpa came up to visit for Easter.  I can't remember why, but my mom was out of town, so he came up.
The kids woke up and went to work looking for where the Easter Bunny hid their basket. (And yes, Benton's shirt is on backwards.)
Per Jason's request, the kids follow a trail of jelly beans or candy filled eggs which leads to their basket.
Sharing the wealth with their sister.
Tab was quite pleased with finding the eggs.
They finally located their "basket".  Since my dad was coming up, I had him bring one of my mom's ginormous stainless steel bowls.  This is what my parents always put our community Easter Candy in.  It was kind of fun to do the same for my kids.
Jason was working nights, so when he got home he ran out and hid the eggs and then we sent the kids out.
Paisley really had a blast finding the eggs.
As did the rest of the bunch.

Then came the discovery of the final egg.  Paisley beat Benton out by a milisecond.
 Which didn't go over well.
 It was quickly confiscated.
And happily placed in his egg carton.
As you can imagine this didn't bode well.
She was quickly won over by being allowed to eat as many eggs as her little heart desired.

Easter Egg Hunt

We went to visit our friends/family in St. Joseph for an Easter Egg Hunt/Feast. It was a blast.

Paisley was crazy about hunting eggs.Tab finding some eggs.Benton doing the same. And he couldn't be more pleased with his success.Enjoying the spoils. The loot. While all of the other kids were running around and playing on the swing set, Paisley noticed an opportunity. For the record it didn't take long before Benton realized that Paisley was in the process of stealing all of his eggs. He promptly ran over to her and full force pushed her right over and started reloading his basket with a few extra of his sister's just for payment for the pain and suffering.

Easter

Sorry, this is late as usual. My card reader on my computer doesn't work and I'm kinda too attached to my computer to let go of it long enough to get it fixed. Jason's parents kindly got us a card reader but as luck would have it, it seems that the slot to read the card for my camera doesn't work. Freaking LAME. Anyway so it takes me effort to get pictures off of my memory card to blog. So please forgive me.

I will start by telling you, there are no pictures of the kids in their Easter Outfits. As life would have it, rather than taking pictures after church with the kids in their Easter outfits as planned, we spent the afternoon in the Emergency Room with Tab, which is another post for another day. I'll try to get pictures of them next Sunday.

The neighborhood we live in held a little Easter egg hunt. The boys had a blast. Paisley, well, she enjoyed playing with her one plastic egg and her bucket.
Sorry about the blur, you can't control what you get when some random person takes the picture for you.We, meaning mostly Jason, enjoyed dying eggs with the boys. To be honest, this is the first year that we actually got around to dying the eggs before Easter. Wahoo!
We bought a "marbling" kit which was a mistake because you have to swirl the egg in the dye. That was just asking for trouble. But the boys enjoyed it and we just did our best to regulate.Jason's family has a tradition that the Easter Bunny leaves a trail of Jelly Beans to where their Easter Baskets are hidden, so we have continued the tradition. Jason decided to be the goober that he is and pretend like they were rabbit droppings. Lucky for me I had the camera already in my hand! The boys thought that that was rockin'!They were ecstatic about the water guns. Can you tell that they already have a mouthful of jelly beans.Unfortunately our hunt had to be inside as it had rained all night. But they didn't care.
Tab was very proud to have found the last egg.

Easter Outfits!

So I just had to post pictures of the boys in their Easter outfits. They looked so much more grown up in their outfits, it almost makes me not want to put them on them again...almost.

I forgot to take a picture before church and by the time they got home they were both hungry and tired so not only do you get pictures of their cute outfits but you get to see what loveliness we deal with every Sunday after church.
