This past summer our ward had a Father/Son Camp Out. It worked out for Jason to take the boys. They were so excited to go camping with just Daddy. They had a blast helping to set up the tent. You wouldn't be able to tell from Tab's face. And what is camping without some s'mores. Just trying to share with Daddy.
See, Tab did actually enjoy himself.

Home Made Puff Paint
Another "Update" post. I wrote this one along time ago but for some reason never posted it. sigh. And I will post about Christmas after break is over. I SWEAR!
I saw here that someone had made their own puffy paint. I knew immediately that the boys would be gaga over this. I couldn't have been more right.
Here is Benton slaving away over his masterpiece.I think tab could have sat there and painted all day if I had had the patience. He has asked to do it again already.
And I forgot to take a picture of what they looked like after completion.. Shame on me. But they were COOL!

Catching Up- Summer Fun at the Library!
We had so much fun at our local library this summer. Here are just a few of the activities that I remembered to bring my camera to. A "mommy" rock band. It was kinda funny. It was totally a bunch of middle aged mommies rocking out to kid songs that they made up about boogers and such. This was a percussion group, I wish I could remember their name. It was a blast. They were singing and jumping all over the room. They had the kids help them play the drums for part of it.They had a pirate themed event, so of course we had to go. They got to make some hooks and parrots to clip to their shoulders. They were so excited about getting to meet a REAL pirate! (Can I tell you a secret? That real pirate's name was Donna. LOL)
There was also a guy who did a juggling act.He also did "cup stacking" with these said pails. It was pretty impressive.(This picture is a good reminder to me of just how skinny Paisley was and how far she has come in the past few months.)

Catching Up-Tab
Tab and Benton love to create things out of pipe cleaners. This was Tab's machine gun. I asked him why is was attached to his head. "Duh mom, to help me aim." Oh, what was I thinking.Rubbing a flower, he picked "illegally" from our town home's landscaping, on his cheek because it was soft.
Reading to his sister.
Being to goon we know and love. Perfectly placed box flap.
He saved his pennies for a long time to buy his skates. He wants so so badly to play ice hockey and we figured learning to skate was the first step. And since Tab worked so hard for his skates, dad surprised him by buying him a hockey stick. It started out something like this. Then Jason took him to the grass to show him how to move his feet. And quickly progressed to this. And hopes to soon be like this.
One afternoon that Jason happened to be home, I took Tab over to the ice rink for open skate. He thought he was the luckiest boys ever, until I told him he couldn't have a hockey stick.

Catching Up- Benton
Caught red handed. Must have been thirsty.Benton, making his daddy proud.Benton pooped in his skinnies and his punishment was having to wear a diaper like a baby. He was extremely upset about it and was crying hysterically. Tab was reassuring him that he was a good boy and that he just needed to poop in the toilet. I love how Tab is down on one knee, mimicking what he sees dad do.
Just being silly. He set up all of his stuff on the couch and just sat there with his arms folded, for about 15 minutes. I'm not sure what was going on.
Being a good stinking brother. He was feeding Paisley some of his yogurt or applesauce, I can't remember.
Trying desperately to be tough. This is the part where I am the absolute worst mom in the entire world. So Benton's Birthday was oh, you know, in AUGUST and I am just throwing it in here now, mashed in with everything else. Sigh, sorry buddy.
He informed me that he wanted a pirate/transformers cake. So this is what he got. Except the cake was rice crispies because we were headed out camping the next morning and that way we could bring the leftovers with us. (The Autobot is made out of fruit roll up.)The presents: A pirate boot and loot.Thomas jacket and rain boots.A pirate hook that I crocheted for him.
Because Jason thought I needed to model it for him.
The sweet Birthday boy.

Catching Up- Paisley
Oye Vey! I am so far behind that I may never catch up. But here is my pathetic attempt. Here is a quick picture recap of some funny and cute things Paisley has been doing.
She is always lugging a baby around.
Has the cutest stinking smile.
Is just all around silly.
Is ALL girl
But doesn't have a problem playing with her big brother's fire trucks.
It was a stinking hot summer (crazy to think as it is snowing as we speak.). Paisley would regularly scoot around and sit her butt right on top of the air conditioning vents so she could cool off.
Trying to occupy her as we play ouside.
We got our baby swing out when we were watching a friends baby and Paisley rediscovered it.
She learned how to open the fridge, ugg.
She found an old binky and the thought it was fun to play with.
Just trying to be a pirate like my big brothers.
Being goofy with dad.
She LOVES the mulch at the park.
Daddy is the baby charmer, as always.
Trying to slurp up the lasts of daddy's soda.
Playing with her balloon flower.
Sporting some shades.
