The Post in which I cram a ton of random pictures

Prepare yourselves to be dumped on... with pictures of course. Someday maybe I'll be good at this blogging thing again.

Ok, remember the part where I had a baby in October? Well we came home from the hospital and a day or so later we got about 6" of snow. Crazy huh!?! Said snow put us without power for about a week. New baby and no power. I always wanted to go camping in the cold with a newborn...sigh.

Paisley didn't want her picture taken.Tab had a blast.Benton too. Poor things, this is the best snow we got this year. They playhouse was fun.But the snow fort they built was better.
Remember how I said the power went out. Well, we were going a bit stir crazy in the house after several days, so we loaded our stinky selves into the van and drove 45 minutes to Cabella's. We took the kids to the "shooting range". Tab wasn't half bad.Benton required more than a bit of assistance. Paisley was interested in holding the gun but could care less what was done with it.Daddy even let Hobbes get in on the action.
Then we checked out the fish and other "wild life".They spent quite a bit of time watching the fish.We had fun watching them and trying to prevent them from joining the fish in the pond.Since it was still Fall when we had this lovely storm, the snow melted quickly. So Jason got to work putting the drainage in so we wouldn't get any more water in the basement.
Benton quite enjoyed helping him.
I do believe they quite enjoyed the mess they made of the yard.He made great progress during his time off. After all of the digging and laying of the pavers and ground cloth, etc. etc. came the rocks!I dare say that this was the kids favorite part to help with.Though Tab was confused as to why the dump truck couldn't just dump the rocks where they belonged. It was great to see them out working with dad.It is now complete but don't have a picture of it at the moment. While they worked on that, Tab and I planted some Tulips! And since I was pretty much crazy I took the kids to do the Home Depot Project.Would you look at that focus! One of the employees took pity on me and helped Paisley build her picture frame.Ta-Da!
Not to be outdone, Hobbes helped out.The lady there couldn't get enough of him and insisted that he needed his very own apron. (That same lady is always there when we go and asks to hold Hobbes while I help the kids. She rocks!)
It wouldn't be my boys with out some silliness or boxes. Luckily this picture captures both. The favorite place to hang out in the mornings when dad is home. I pretty much get kicked to the curb. This past Fall there were abundant opportunities to play in the leaves.
And with fallen branches. It made for hours of outdoor fun.
Lifting the branches made Tab realize how strong he is.How was that for a major dump? Not enough randomness for you? Don't worry there is more coming your way.

Home Depot Day!

It has been a while since I have posted about a home depot day, so why not? Tab is becoming quite independent with his projects. He's pretty good except for the times when he is spastic.Benton is pretty good with the hammer now too.And honestly, other than the fact that she can't swing the hammer hard enough to do much, Paisley has pretty good aim.
They loved picking out the flowers for their planters.

A bit of Randomness

Jason, who has been out of town for 2 1/2 weeks and will be gone for another 3 1/2, has begged for pictures of his chillin's so, this is for him.

First, the pretty bird. She has a thing for hats. I need to find her a cute girlie hat. Still in her jams, doing what she does best, loving on one of her dolls. And I was trying to get a picture to demonstrate how Paisley's hair is trying to decide if it wants to be curly or not.Anytime she gets a little sweaty or her hair gets tear-soaked, lol, it curls up.Though we were short one major player, I decided to take the kids to do the home depot project. I think the guy felt pity on me, because he helped Benton build his football holder...not that we need any of those. (They are currently being used as boats.Tab working on his. That kid has got the hammering thing down.It was family day while we were there, so they had activities set up all over the store for the kids including fun prizes! They also had a scavenger hunt where the kids filled a bucket with various supplies from their list. They loved it. I pity whoever had to restock all of the flashlights, tape, light bulbs (that one wasn't too bright) paintbrushes, etc.

Here Benton was throwing beanbags into the washer/dryer/whatever it was.

Working with Daddy

This past month's Home Depot project was trivets. We built them at Home Depot with the boys but then Daddy helped the boys paint them and glue their tiles in at home.
They love working on projects with Daddy.
And of course with daddy, a Pepsi is the best way to end a project.

What Keeps us Busy?

It seems like nothing much but I have a ton of pictures of nothing much. So here you go.

First there is Miss Pais. She always prefers to be sitting up. Usually being held, but now and again she lets us but her in her seat for a bit. With Tab gone at school Paisley and Benton get to get some good one on one time. This is the opps, I got caught laying on top of my sister pose.Benton is a cute little devil. Jason took Tab and Benton to the gas station for a treat one Saturday morning. They came home with York Peppermint Patties. The Result:I think this is the favorite part. We love it when we get get a little snuggling in.The boys and their most recent Home Depot project. They made Fire House banks.
Don't worry, Paisley didn't miss out.I was helping Benton. I tell you what, that boy can swing a hammer. It is quite frightening.
The boys most recent favorite game...
Why we think our children need toys is beyond me. They BEG to play with the boxes. They build houses, grocery stores, cars, etc.
Tab was scooting around the house on his knees pretending to be Wall-E. I couldn't take it. It was just to hilarious. Again, why do we think our kids need toys?
And a video of it for your viewing pleasure. Sorry that I retarded and videoed it sideways.

And I heard a ruckus in the living room and came in to see what was going on and discovered Benton pretending to be Paisley. I got a kick out of it. At least Paisley poor disposition can provide for a good laugh now and again.
